Risk Consultant, Client Success

MEO Continuity is hiring a Risk Consultant to own client relationships end to end. You will run onboarding for new clients, lead the impact analysis and dependency mapping that sits at the center of our work, build recovery strategies clients actually use, and become an extension of their risk management team. You will also be the voice of the customer inside the company, shaping what we build next. Most of our clients already have a continuity program. What they need is traction and a clear answer to what would really hurt the business. This role travels up to 50%, split between client sites and industry conferences. Remote, US. $110,000 to $160,000 base.

About MEO

MEO Continuity is a business resilience platform. We build the structured data layer underneath resilience decisions, from the plant floor to the capital markets.

Clients use us for three things: understanding what a disruption would actually cost them, running business impact analysis across their operations, and building continuity plans that keep the business running through a disruption. Those three used to be separate projects run by separate people on separate spreadsheets. On our platform they are one connected model that stays current.

Two products do the work. BIValues.ai captures business income values, allocates them across locations, and builds the digital statement of values a client needs for an insurance renewal. Thunderbird goes much wider. It captures the financial baseline too, then layers on exposure, the dependency map behind every critical process, and the recovery strategies built on top of it.

We have been building those dependency maps for 15 years and there are hundreds of them now. Most clients come to us already running a continuity program. They have plans. What they do not have is traction, or a clear answer to what would really hurt them. That is the gap this role closes.

We sell direct to enterprises and alongside broker, carrier, and risk engineering partners.

One thing up front

This role travels up to 50%, split between client sites and industry conferences. We want to be upfront about that because it is a real part of the job, not a footnote. If that works for you, great, the rest of this should be a good read. If it does not fit your life right now, we would rather you know early than find out in month two.

The role

You become an extension of your clients' risk management team. Not someone who shows up for a project and disappears, and not a support queue. You are the person they call when something changes in the business and they need to know what it means.

Practically, that means you run onboarding for new clients, own those relationships once they are live, and act as the voice of the customer on what we build next. You will be on site with clients one week and in product conversations the next.

You are joining an existing client team with a working methodology. You will learn it fast, then make it better.

What you will own

Client onboarding and implementation

  • Lead new clients from kickoff to live, including data collection, site visits, process mapping, and stakeholder alignment
  • Develop a real understanding of each client's business model, critical processes, and profit drivers
  • Run business impact analysis: criticality, recovery objectives, upstream and downstream dependencies, single points of failure, and what the loss of each actually costs
  • Build continuity plans people will use. Recovery strategies for critical processes, viable workarounds, the resources each strategy depends on, and clear ownership so the business keeps running through an extended disruption
  • Validate recovery strategies through exercises, so clients find the gaps before a disruption does
  • Configure the platform to each client's operating reality and keep the model honest as the business changes
  • Turn platform output into deliverables clients can take to their board, their auditors, their customers, and their broker

The client relationship

  • Be the named owner for your accounts. Renewals, expansion, escalations, and health all sit with you
  • Present to senior and executive management on a regular cadence. This role is not credible if you cannot hold a room with a COO or a CFO
  • Build real relationships with continuity and risk leaders, operations leaders, and site leadership
  • Run quarterly reviews that tie our work to outcomes the client cares about: downtime exposure, recovery capability, customer and regulatory commitments, capital prioritization, and cost of risk
  • Train and enable client teams so the platform keeps producing value after you leave

Supporting the commercial engine

  • Support pre-sales with scoping, discovery, and proof of value on live prospect data
  • Work with our broker, carrier, and risk engineering partners, including joint client meetings
  • Represent MEO at industry conferences and events. Work the floor, meet prospects, and come back with what the market is actually worried about. Speaking and panel opportunities are there if you want them
  • Feed the RFP and proposal library with reusable methodology and evidence

Product development

  • Bring client friction, gaps, and requests back into the product with enough specificity to be actionable
  • Work with engineering and the founders on what to build, what to kill, and what to prioritize
  • Test and pressure-test new features before they reach clients, including red-teaming model output for accuracy and defensibility
  • Improve the reusable assets that let us scale: templates, playbooks, methodology, and training material

Working with AI

  • Use AI as a daily tool, not an occasional novelty. Drafting, analysis, research, client prep, and internal ops
  • Build and refine the agents and prompts that carry your own workflow
  • Hold a high bar on where model output is trustworthy and where a human has to own the judgment. Our clients make operational and capital decisions off this work

Who you are

  • 4 to 10 years in business continuity, operational resilience, risk consulting, or professional services advisory. Business interruption claims work, whether preparation, adjusting, or forensic accounting, is a strong fit. So is operations or supply chain leadership with good client-facing instincts
  • You have built BIAs and continuity plans for real organizations, not just reviewed them
  • You are comfortable with the numbers. You can quantify the cost of a disruption from messy client data and defend every assumption to a skeptical CFO
  • Experience with complex, multi-site operations. Manufacturing is a core segment for us, but so are distribution, food and beverage, life sciences, and critical infrastructure
  • You have run workshops with senior stakeholders and kept the room moving
  • You write clearly and quickly, and your Excel and PowerPoint output is client-ready without a cleanup pass
  • You are genuinely fluent with AI tools and skeptical about their output in the right places
  • You will travel up to 50%, mostly domestic, split between client sites and industry conferences
  • You raise problems early instead of managing around them

Nice to have

  • You have worked a real business interruption loss. If you have seen which assumptions survive a claim and which ones fall apart under scrutiny, you already know the thing we are trying to get clients to understand before it happens to them
  • CBCP, MBCI, CRMP, or ARM
  • Familiarity with how continuity and exposure data is used downstream by brokers and carriers
  • Experience with ISO 22301, NFPA 1600, or similar frameworks
  • Experience on a client-facing team at a company that was still figuring out its process

First year

  • First 90 days: shadow and then co-run live onboardings, learn the product and methodology deeply, be in the field
  • By 6 months: running implementations independently and owning your book end to end
  • By 12 months: your accounts are healthy and expanding, and the methodology has improvements in it that came from you

Why this role

Resilience work usually shows up as a project. A values study, an impact analysis, a plan. You deliver it, you move on, and it starts going stale the day you hand it over. The client ends up with three disconnected artifacts built by three different people, none of which reflect how the business runs today.

Here the work compounds instead. The same model feeds exposure, impact, and recovery, and it stays current. You get the whole picture rather than one slice of it, you run far more engagements than you would at a consultancy, and what you learn in the field changes the product in weeks.

You also own the client. Not a workstream inside someone else's account, the actual relationship.

How we work

The team moves fast and runs hot. People here have strong opinions, say them out loud, and change their minds when someone makes a better case.

Three things matter more than anything else:

Trust. You are given real ownership early and we do not check your work for you. That only functions if everyone holds the line on quality without being asked.

Integrity. Clients make serious decisions off our analysis. We say what we know, we say what we are unsure about, and we never let a number go out that we cannot defend.

Open communication. Problems surface early here. Bad news travels fast and nobody gets punished for it. If something is broken, including something one of us built, say so.

Compensation

$110,000 to $160,000 base, depending on experience.

We cover 100% of your individual health premium. The plan is a good one, not a cheap one, and it costs you nothing. Dependent coverage is available at your own cost. We also offer a 401k.

PTO starts at 15 days, and it is one of the things we talk about when we make an offer. Sick days are separate and do not come out of it. If you are sick, take the day. Nobody here wants you spending vacation on the flu, and given how much you will be traveling, you will want the real vacation.

To apply

Use the Apply button below. It opens an email with the role already in the subject line. Attach your resume and put two things in the body:

  1. A short note about the hardest client situation you have handled and what you did about it
  1. One line confirming that up to 50% travel works for you

No cover letter needed.

Your data. We use what you send us to consider you for this role, and nothing else. We do not sell it or share it outside the company. Your information is handled in accordance with our privacy policy at meocontinuity.com/privacy. Reply to any email from us at any time to ask what we hold or to have it deleted.

One last thing. We know you are going to use AI to write your resume. Good, so would we. Just make sure you can defend every line in it, because defending your work to people who ask hard questions is most of this job.
